Just Build It Design

A WordPress and WooCommerce business was rebuilt as a focused Laravel platform with a clearer path for custom work, portfolio browsing, and owner management.

PROJECT STATUSPre-launch staging

Evidence is verified. Production outcome claims are intentionally omitted.

Overview

The challenge

The existing site carried a large legacy footprint, overlapping templates, and 68 published products while the business needed a simpler way to present custom work and manage inquiries. The replacement also had to preserve migration choices rather than silently discarding catalog URLs.

Approach

How O-Tech handled it

O-Tech audited the live WordPress site, captured the URL and product inventory, created recoverable backups, and built the replacement in a private staging environment. Public forms were tested end to end while checkout stayed deliberately disabled until the business confirms its future catalog model.

Verified work

What was built.

Public-facing design and operational readiness were developed together.

BUILD
  • Custom Laravel website and owner admin
  • Portfolio, product, contact, and commission-request foundations
  • Private staging with search blocking and controlled mail testing
  • Documented legacy URL, catalog, backup, and cutover decisions
TECH + OPERATIONS
  • PHP 8.4 and Laravel
  • 49 automated tests with 567 assertions in the recovered build
  • Verified desktop and mobile layouts
  • Backup and rollback evidence retained off the public site
Visual evidence

Before and private staging.

The images compare the current WordPress homepage with the private Laravel staging design. The replacement is pre-launch, so no production conversion, sales, or revenue improvement is claimed.

Mobile by design

The smaller screen has its own rhythm.

Navigation, hierarchy, cards, forms, and calls to action were reviewed at mobile widths instead of being treated as a compressed desktop page.

Ongoing management

What happens next.

The launch plan preserves a decision point: migrate the existing product catalog or approve an inquiry-first model with explicit redirects. O-Tech will repeat production tests after the controlled cutover before publishing outcome claims.

Claims deliberately omitted

No conversion lift, revenue increase, search growth, customer testimonial, or post-launch uptime result is stated without production evidence.
