Scope and information collected
O-Tech Service serves business and professional customers. We collect information a business representative provides through contact, website-review, account, order, invoice, support, and service forms. This may include names, business contact details, company and service locations, project requirements, messages, files, billing records, and account activity.
Our systems may also process request times, browser and device information, referring pages, security events, server logs, and protected network identifiers needed to operate, secure, diagnose, and improve the services. Payment credentials are handled by the configured payment provider; O-Tech intends to retain provider references rather than full payment-card data.
How information is used
- Respond to inquiries and prepare proposals or website reviews.
- Create and administer business accounts, orders, invoices, hosting, Managed Care, and support.
- Authenticate users, prevent abuse, investigate security events, maintain backups, and recover systems.
- Meet accounting, tax, contractual, legal, and dispute-resolution obligations.
- Send transactional service and billing messages. Promotional enrollment is optional and separate.
Cookies and analytics
The website and client systems may use essential cookies for sessions, security, form protection, account access, and saved preferences. Production analytics, if enabled, will be limited to the tools and purposes described here. O-Tech does not use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising or sell it for advertising.
O-Tech does not currently operate a browser-based preference-signal or advertising opt-out system because the launch site does not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising. If those practices or applicable requirements change, this policy and the site controls will be updated before the change is introduced. Disabling essential cookies may prevent account, checkout, or security features from working.
Providers and disclosures
Information may be processed by providers that support hosting, client billing and support, payment processing, domain registration, email delivery, security, monitoring, analytics selected for production, backup and recovery, and professional advice. Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect systems or rights, or as part of a business transaction subject to appropriate safeguards.
O-Tech does not sell personal information for advertising. Customer material is not published as a portfolio example or testimonial without permission.
Customer systems and processor role
When O-Tech hosts, maintains, migrates, or supports a customer website, O-Tech may process information in that customer’s systems only to provide the requested service, follow the customer’s documented instructions, protect the service, or meet legal obligations. The customer remains responsible for the notices, permissions, collection choices, and lawful content used on its own website.
Access is limited to personnel and providers who need it for the service and are subject to appropriate confidentiality and security obligations. A service-specific agreement or data-processing addendum controls if it imposes additional requirements.
Retention and backups
General inquiries and unsuccessful quote records are normally retained for up to 24 months. Active customer, service, support, and contract records are retained for the relationship and a reasonable closeout period. Accounting and tax records are retained for the period required by the company’s accountant and applicable law. Routine security logs are generally retained from 90 days up to one year when operationally feasible.
Backups follow the applicable service rotation and may retain data temporarily after it leaves active systems. Backup copies are used for disaster recovery and are removed through normal rotation rather than edited record by record. A specific contract, dispute, legal hold, security incident, or technical constraint may require longer retention.
Security and incident response
O-Tech uses reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the information and service, including access controls, encrypted transport, backups, logging, and maintenance practices. No internet service can promise absolute security. Customers should use unique credentials, multi-factor authentication when available, and promptly report suspected compromise.
If an incident affects information for which notice is legally required, O-Tech will investigate, preserve relevant records, coordinate with affected customers and providers, and make required notifications within the applicable time.
Privacy choices and requests
A person may ask to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information, or opt out of non-transactional email, by contacting [email protected]. Where applicable law grants additional rights, including rights concerning sale, targeted advertising, profiling, or an appeal, O-Tech will honor those rights. O-Tech may verify identity and authority for a business account and may retain records required for security, contracts, accounting, tax, or law.
Transactional account, security, billing, and service messages are necessary to administer an existing request or relationship. Marketing messages, if introduced, will provide a clear opt-out method, and opt-out requests will be honored as required by law.
Children, location, and policy changes
The site is directed to businesses and professionals and is not intended for children under 13. O-Tech does not knowingly request personal information from children. Contact [email protected] if information may have been submitted by a child.
O-Tech operates from Connecticut, United States, and its providers may process information in the United States or other locations where they operate. Material changes to this policy will be posted with a new effective date and, when appropriate, communicated to affected account contacts.
